| Need help with DISH Network’s TurboHD in the western half of the United States? KVH can help!
DISH Network recently made changes to the HDTV signals broadcast by the 129° West satellite. These changes may affect the viewing experience for some DISH TurboHD subscribers in the western half of the United States who use mobile satellite TV antennas, regardless of manufacturer. However, it is only related to HD broadcasts in this region – you will continue to be able to enjoy standard definition programming without any issues.
This change to DISH TurboHD broadcasts will NOT affect you if you are not in the western half of the United States or if you own one of the following KVH satellite TV systems: TracVision R6ST and R6DX, TracVision M1 and M1DX, or TracVision M3ST and M3DX.
KVH is dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction with our products. As a result of this change, we offer two update options to support customers with affected antennas and who subscribe to DISH TurboHD in the western half of the United States:
- KVH’s exclusive Master Receiver Selector – The preferred solution, KVH’s exclusive, new Master Receiver Selector, is an enhanced multiswitch that will completely resolve any issues associated with the changes to the 129° West satellite. Plus, for the ultimate convenience, it allows TracVision owners throughout North America to choose which receiver is the “master,” capable of switching satellites, at any time. This is the recommended solution for owners of in-motion TracVision antennas and is required for those using three or more receivers.*
- We are also making available a FREE software update for customers using one or two receivers and a stationary TracVision antenna.* If you choose this update, you will need to follow a different procedure when powering the antenna on and off.
To take advantage of either solution, please contact your local KVH dealer.
